Translation: Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): I asked Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him), “O Messenger of Allah! If I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?” He said, “Say: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni” (O Allah! You are forgiving, and you love forgiveness. So forgive me).”

Hadith 2: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْقَاعُ بْنُ حُكَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم “ الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى دُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا أَوْ امْرَأَةٍ يَنْكِحُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ ” .
Translation: Narrated by Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Look for Laylatul Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan, on the odd nights.”

Hadith 3: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ حُبَابِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم “ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَرْفَعُ اللَّهُ الْقَلَمَ عَنْ ثَلاَثَةٍ عَنِ الصَّبِيِّ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ وَعَنِ النَّائِمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِظَ وَعَنِ الْمَجْنُونِ حَتَّى يُفِيقَ ” .
Translation: Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever prays during the night of Qadr with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven.”

Hadith 4: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ لَقَدْ نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ وَرَفَعَ اللَّهُ حِجَابَهُ فِي الْمُتَشَبِّهَاتِ بِالنِّسَاءِ النَّابِذَاتِ الْأَصْوَاتِ فِي الْجَوَامِعِ . فَعَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ لِبَاسِ الْقَوْمِ إِلاَّ مَا ظَاهَرَ مِنْهُ . فَمَنِ ابْتَغَتْ ذَلِكَ فَأُوتِيَتْ غُفْرَانًا وَمَنْ عَادَتْ فَلَهَا أَنْ لاَ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهَا صَلاَةٌ مَكْتُوبَةٌ .
Translation: Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) used to practice I’tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say, “Look for Laylatul Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan.”

Translation: Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends Laylatul Qadr in prayer out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”
