Hadith of Aisha

Hadith 1: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ “‏ إِنَّمَا الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّةِ، وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى، فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَّا اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَّا اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ لِدُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا أَوْ امْرَأَةٍ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَّا مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ ‏”‏‏.‏

Translation: Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Quran will be with the honorable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Quran and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward.”

Hadith 2: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ مَنْ لَا يُؤْدِي الْأَمَانَةَ فَلاَ إِيمَانَ لَهُ، وَمَنْ لَا يَصْدُقْ الْحَدِيثَ فَلاَ صِدْقَ لَهُ، وَمَنْ لَا يُؤْدِي الْعَهْدَ فَلاَ دِينَ لَهُ ‏”‏ ‏.‏

Translation: Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “The one who innovates something in this matter of ours (Islam) that is not of it will have it rejected.”

Hadith 3: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَالِمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ إِذَا سَأَلَ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَةَ أَخِيهِ فَلْيَتْنَكَّحْهَا فَإِنَّ لَهُ أَحَقَّ أَنْ يَنْكِحَهَا وَإِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْعِرْضِ ‏”‏‏.

Translation: Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to pray eleven rak’at (units of prayer) at night and that was his night prayer.

Hadith 4: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الأُمَوِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ القَطَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْجَلَاءِ، فَإِنَّ الْجَلَاءَ لاَ يُرِدُّ الرَّزَقَ، وَإِنَّ الرِّدَّةَ لاَ تُبَيِّتُوا عَنِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى جَمِيعًا ‏”‏‏

Translation: Narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to pray in his room or in the mosque and would lie down while I was in front of him (in his room). When he wanted to bow, he would call me and I would place a cushion under his knees so that he could bow on it.
